I am a freelance proofreader committed to delivering a dependable, professional and personal service. If you are looking for a meticulous and reliable proofreader I could be of assistance. I offer a general proofreading service covering all areas of written material / publications. I also offer a specialised proofreading service in the following areas: biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular/cell biology and academic /research. In addition I am familiar with the pharmaceutical, medicinal and agrochemical fields.
Proofreading is the process of checking written material for any errors prior to
final publication and is, in effect, a quality check. Proofreading checks include: accuracy in grammar, spelling and punctuation; typographical and design consistency; correct page numbers, cross-references; illustration/table captions and running heads.
The level of proofreading required can range from basic (eg. checking for inconsistencies, ensuring correct spelling, grammar and punctuation) to more advanced (eg. checking the accuracy of cross-references, page numbers, indexing and hyperlinks, table and graph captions and references correspond with in-text citations).
